Austria - Vienna & Salzburg

Wes took a week off and we went to Vienna and Salzburg. It was rainy and cold in Vienna and it snowed a little in Salzburg, but the scenery was still amazing...we'll have to go back to Salzburg when we can see the Alps.

We took a tour of the State Opera House

They had started putting up Christmas lights, there were
adding huge "chandeliers" to these light swags but these
were not lit while we were there.

Sundial, not sure this is very practical in this
weather, I guess that's why it has a clock above it!

We had some famous "Sacher Torte" at the Sacher Hotel, yummy!

Neue Burg

The Hofburg Complex - contains former imperial apartments, museums, churches, the winter riding school (Spanish Lipizzaner stallions), and many other important buildings.

On the back of this complex was a nice botanical park with a greenhouse and a butterfly exhibit

Gorgeous fall colors!

We took a ride on the ferris wheel at the Prater

Greece, beautiful Greece!

We had a great time on our trip to Greece. Our travels took us to Athens where we took a tour of the most visited places in the city, a 1-day cruise to 3 islands - Hydra, Aegina and Poros in the Saronic Gulf, a 4-day tour to the Corinth Canal, Olympia, Delphi, Mycenae, Epidarus, Meteora and on our last day we went back to Athens and did some more site seeing on our own.

Among them was Dionysius, a member of council of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others."
